Pentax continues its path of innovation and improvement of production performance with the upgrade of its coating lines.
Three six-axis anthropomorphic GR 680 robots with VR Tracking technology, supplied by CMA Robotics, a partner for over 20 years, have been installed. These solutions increase flexibility and efficiency in processes thanks to:
- maximum freedom of movement even on complex geometries
- 360° wrist rotation
- real-time program modifications without recreating them from scratch
Among the most innovative features, VR Tracking technology makes programming simpler and more intuitive, allowing the operator’s movements to be recorded and automatically replicated.
This upgrade is part of a well-established path that includes the exclusive use of water-based paints, in line with the company’s commitment to environmental sustainability.
The update is explored in the article “New self-learning robots with VR Tracking technology: the next level of coating at Pentax Industries”, published in IPCM – International Paint&Coating Magazine.
